Eminem is the lead nominee for the Grammy awards 2011, after being named in 10 categories. The rapper has received nods for the most prestigious Grammy categories, including album of the year for Recovery and record of the year for his duet with Rihanna, Love the Way You Lie.
Trailing behind with an impressive seven nominations is Bruno Mars, an American singer-songwriter who performed on BoB's Nothin' On You and Travie McCoy's Billionaire, both top 10 hits in the US. Unsurprisingly, he is nominated for best rap/sung collaboration and shares nominations in several other categories.
There was also good news for Cee Lo Green, whose song Fuck You (recorded as Forget You for radio) was also nominated for, among others, record of the year, and Swedish pop star Robyn, who was nominated in the best dance recording category for Dancing On My Own.
As for British artists, Florence and the Machine and Mumford & Sons received a nomination in the high-profile best new artist award. They are competing against Drake, Justin Bieber and Esperanza Spalding.
The 53rd Grammy awards will take place on 13 February 2011 at the Staples Center, Los Angeles. For a full list of nominees, click here
